According to a recent report, WhatsApp is currently testing some new features for the iOS version. It is also rumored that they will also offer the option of ‘View Once’ (Snapchat) i.e. ‘View Once’ i.e. Snapchat chats for iPhone users.
New features are coming in the iOS version of WhatsApp
According to WABetaInfo, after finally rolling out the View Once feature on the Android platform, WhatsApp is finally going to bring it to iOS beta users as well. In that case, the feature may be observed in version 2.2.140.9 of iOS. If a user uses this feature to send a photo or video to another user, it will reach the form of a simple message. And once the receiver sees the message, it will be automatically deleted.
Meanwhile, the in-app notification option of the iOS beta version of WhatsApp is being redesigned along with the View Once feature. This new design, like Android, will allow users to preview stickers, GIFs, videos and image files in the notification panel. This preview will appear as soon as the incoming notification is extended.
The report also states that WhatsApp is already testing custom compression options for videos. In this case, cross-device users will get the option to compress video files. However, please note that none of the above features can be accessed or used now. Because at the moment these are in the experimental stage. These are expected to be available for use in the coming weeks.
